Choose Free or Paid plan #
Registering with SentLive is simple; click the Join link and a simple registration form opens for you to complete, which starts the process of signing up for the Free plan; or if you know that you want to purchase one of our Paid plans, click Explore, and on the next page click Plans and you will be shown the current plans available; select the one that interests you, and click on either ‘Subscribe Now’, or ‘Buy Now’. The process for the Free and Paid plans is outlined below. If you are already a member, the simple process to change your plan is outlined here.
IOS USERS; SPECIAL NOTE
If you are using an iOS device to register, the process should be completely carried out in the Safari browser, and when completed, we recommend that you install our web app, and log in there. We would prefer if you were able to do everything in the app, but unfortunately at the moment any links we send to you by email or sms will only open the Safari browser, and not our app, due to the limited support offered by Apple for web apps. This is expected to change at some point, as Apple has announced that better support and integration for web apps will be implemented.
Free Member Registration #
In the form that appears, enter the required details (First Name, Last Name, Email) then click Submit. At that point, you will be asked to check your email; you should have received an email titled ‘SentLive Registration’ – inside this email is a link that you need to click, which will take you back to the site, where you then fill in your chosen username and password, and click Register. If everything has been entered correctly, you will be automatically logged in. You will receive a second email titled ‘Your registration is complete’ with your Username and Password, which includes a link to the login page. We recommend that you save the email, or the details contained, somewhere on your device.
Paid Plan Payment Process and Registration #
The payment process is also simple and will be familiar to anyone who has purchased something online before; on clicking the ‘Subscribe’ or ‘Buy Now’ button you will be taken to a payment page that is powered by our payment gateway, Stripe. Check that the plan and amount shown is what you selected, then enter your card details and other information required – some of this may have been automatically completed (e.g. country). If you wish you can tick a box to save the details. Please read the information on the page, and once you have completed everything, click ‘Subscribe’ or ‘Pay’. This puts in motion either a regular monthly or yearly subscription for the relevant plans, which can be cancelled at any time before it is due for renewal, or for the Life plan, a one off payment. At any point before clicking ‘Subscribe’ or ‘Pay’ you can stop the process, but we do not refund any payments once they have been made for any reason. Once payment is complete, you will receive an email confirming the payment and the creation of the account on SentLive, and a special link which you must visit to complete the process, where you must choose a Username and Password. If everything has been entered correctly, and your chosen username is available, you will be automatically logged in. You will then receive a second email confirming your login details along with a login link. We recommend that you save the email, or the details contained, somewhere on your device.
RECOMMENDED!
If you are using a mobile device to register, we recommend using Google Chrome on Android, and Safari on iOS – these browsers have been tested extensively by us and are currently the best options (and for iOS, the ONLY option) for installing the app; other browsers have not worked as well, although we hope this will change as these browsers are updated, and for iOS, when Apple offers support for other browsers to do this.
Logging In #
Once your registration has been completed, you will be logged in automatically; for future visits, if you have logged out, you can log in either by clicking the login link in the email you received, or on the Home page of the site by clicking the ‘Login’ link, or in the menu available by clicking near the top left of the screen, or inside the gold and click the button. Enter either the email address or the username you registered with, and the password in the relevant boxes, and you also have the option to tick the ‘Remember me’ box, so the next time you visit the site on the same device and using the same browser, or using the web app, you will be logged in automatically. Sometimes you will need to log in again though, if it has been a long time since your last visit to the site, or your browser/ device has been updated, or had it’s stored data (cache and cookies) cleared. If you install the SentLive web app we recommend remaining logged in and leaving it active on your device to ensure you are alerted about the safety status of your Friends.
Forgotten Password #
If you have forgotten your password when you try to login, there is a link on the Login form – ‘Forgot Password?’ – click on this and you will be asked to enter your email address, and click ‘Reset Password’. You will receive an email with a new password, which you can use to log in, and then if you wish, you can change this new password in the Settings of your Dashboard. If the email does not appear, please first check your Spam or Junk Mail folder; if you do not find it there, try the process again but make sure you have entered your email address correctly. If you still don’t receive the email, please contact us.
Logging Out #
There is no particular reason that you have to log out of SentLive, and in fact we would advise against doing so, because remaining logged in ensures that you will get notified of any updates about your friends on the site. For more about Notifications please click here. However, it is up to you, so to log out there is a link in the sidebar under Member Info, as well as inside the gold button in the top left of the screen, the button – on some devices you may be asked if you are sure that you want to do this, so if you are sure, click the link provided in that message. Very occasionally, if something doesn’t seem to be working quite right on your device, logging out and logging in again might fix the problem – to find out more about fixing problems you might encounter while using SentLive, go to the FAQ section of this guide.
