The various methods of communication on SentLive might be a little overwhelming for some users, so this is a brief overview to help new members or those considering joining to have a better understanding. Below is a list of the methods with a short description, with a link for more detail;
- Email – if you wish to contact us using the form on the site, this will send an email to us; on the other hand you can choose if you wish to receive ‘automatic’ emails from us in your Profile settings
- Push Notifications – we use these to notify you when Safety Checks have been set, or Alerts by your friends or group members have been sent; you can also choose which ones you want to get, or turn them off completely if you wish
- Bell Notifications – these are the internal notifications that you will get while using the site, such as when someone mentions you or requests a friendship, as well as the Safety Checks and Alerts
- Personal Chats/Messages (also more info here) – the chat system allows you to send direct messages to other members; you can also choose who can send you chats as well as blocking anyone you don’t want to chat to
- SMS – we use these to send notifications of Safety Checks to those members who have added their mobile number and are on one of our paid plans
- Posts/Activity – similar to other social media, you can write or share stuff for others to see, but who can see it is limited by who you are friends with (on the main Activity page) or the other Group members (on a Group Activity page); any updates from us will also appear as posts, as well as via email, and a push notification to tell everyone – you can find the latest SentLive Updates on the Welcome page (logged in members only)
