Safety Alerts are both the action taken when a member taps or holds the Big Blue Button, and also the Safe, Not Safe or No Response message subsequently sent to Friends, or in Groups that have the facility, to the other Group Members.
Only available with monthly, annual and lifetime Paid Plans. Scheduled Checks are ones that you set for yourself; they can be a single check, or multiple checks, set to start in five minutes or at any time in the future, and you can choose either a daily or weekly check to happen at the same time every day or week, until a date that you set.
Only available with monthly, annual and lifetime Paid Plans. These are checks that you set for one of your Friends on SentLive, and have the same options as Scheduled Checks. There is also an Instant Check button to send a single check immediately.
These are checks that you send instantly to another member of a group you belong to on SentLive, only available in hidden groups. The response is sent to other members of the group only.
Creating Groups is only available for those on Paid Plans. Anyone who has used social media will be aware of the concept of groups, which are for common interests that might bring people together, in a mini community within a community.
Anyone who has used social media for a little while will be aware of groups, but for those of you who aren’t, groups are for people with a particular common interest, be it an activity, a political perspective, a geographical connection, an artist fan club – basically any interest that might bring people together, in a mini community within a community.
These are the messages that pop up on your mobile device or computer, normally as banners with a sound, that you can control, both whether you receive them and how they appear, in your device/browser settings.
Chat system to exchange messages with your Friends and Group Members in SentLive, either individually or in a group chat; also can send attachments. Settings available to limit who can contact you.
The Free Plan will always be free, but over time some features may change or be replaced
*You can receive unlimited Checks but can only respond within your Alerts limit per week; Friends will need to have a Paid Plan to send a Check to you. **Push Notifications are not available on iOS devices running less than version 16.4 – see our guide for more information.

SentLive is a new company with a new idea – an easy way for you, and those you care about to know each other are safe, while sharing your words, images, dreams, opinions and more, wherever you are in the world, on a new kind of social network.
How It Works
It all begins with the SentLive button on the Safety page – with a simple tap/click or hold, your safety status, Safe or Not Safe, is posted on your activity stream, seen only by other members connected to you, who are also notified; you will also be notified about their alerts. With a paid plan there are no limits on how many safety alerts you send, as well as access to three unique features – Scheduled Checks, Request A Check, and No Response Alerts (except the Group Plan), and other extras. Read more about these in our Guide.
There is a lot more you can do on SentLive, so please view our full guide here. But most importantly of all, please become a memberand try our service with no obligation and no hassle for free! And if you like what you see, invite others to try us out; you can get access to special offers and other rewards if enough people you invite sign up! And of course we would be thrilled if you buy a plan or subscription; other than allowing you to benefit from the additional features, it helps us grow the community and add more features. You can’t put a price on peace of mind but it is what we aim to deliver!
Is there a Help guide or Knowledgebase for me to read?
Yes, you can find it here. And below these FAQs there is a Search box for you to use to find answers to your specific queries.
Is it really free?
Yes, you can absolutely use SentLive for free for as long as you want; there are some restrictions in the Free Plan (please click the Plans Comparison button below) and there are several extras with the paid plans, perhaps most notably the ability to send Checks to your contacts on SentLive for them to respond to. You can find a full list of features for each plan on this page.
Why can Free members only send ten Alerts a week?
There is a cost involved in providing our service (web hosting, server resources, payment processor, notification service, accounting etc) so this is to encourage people to become a Paid member so that we can cover those costs. We hope that everyone will agree that our pricing is very affordable for most, but we also understand that not everyone can afford it, so we offer the Free plan to both allow those who can’t at least some service, and for those who want to “try before they buy” a chance to do so. If not enough people pay to subscribe to the service, this limit may be lowered in the future to encourage more subscriptions, but we hope that this will never be needed
How do I change or cancel a subscription?
If you have purchased one of our Paid Plans, on your Profile page, and on the right of some pages, you will see the details of your account with us; there are links to either upgrade your plan, or cancel your current subscription (except the Lifetime plan, obviously). Click the Upgrade button and then select the plan you wish to change to, or if you cancel your subscription it will continue to run until the next renewal date, when your membership will revert to the Free Plan. To completely delete your account, please contact us by clicking here or the button below to do so. Please see this page of the guide for more details. Please note that no refunds are given.
What payment methods do you accept?
This is largely controlled by our payment processor, Stripe, and because we offer recurring subscriptions; at present you can pay with most credit and debit cards, and most Wallets (e.g. Apple, Google). The card types accepted by Stripe are Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover and Diners, China UnionPay, JCB, Cartes Bancaires, and Interac. We are looking to add direct bank transactions as an automatic option, but if you want to arrange a bank transfer for the Lifetime plan, please contact us by clicking here or the button below. We cannot offer the bank transfer for recurring subscriptions at present
What does THAT mean?
We have a section in our Guide dedicated to some terms that you might not be familiar with which you can find by clicking here.
How can I get in contact with you?
If you have already become a Member, the easiest and quickest way is to send us a direct message using the Chat/Message system to Admin, otherwise there is a Contact Us form available for everyone on every page of the site by clicking the orange button and then the button, and a form will open for you to submit; it is also available by clicking here or the button below. Or you can email us directly on admin@sentlive.com.
SentLive began as a casual conversation between two British expats in 2015, and slowly grew to become a UK limited company offering a personal safety service, originally via an app for iOS and Android, that began in 2019; however in 2021 we withdrew the app, had a rethink, a redesign, and now we offer a new, tweaked concept, that encompasses a social media platform integrated with the safety service, which can be used for free, plus paid plans offering an enhanced service – please click below to find out more!
Our goal is for members to be able to inform their families and friends when they are safe, or not, quickly and easily, whatever plan they choose. The idea is to be proactive, and for members to send regular safe alerts, rather than only when there is a problem, allowing them to reduce the worry and stress that can occur by not knowing either way – ask any parent, grandparent, or other family, friend or colleague. Businesses can use it as a safety measure for their employees, and far flung expats or distant partners can comfort their loved ones with one tap. Along with that, you can meet new people and make new friends by posting, sharing, creating groups and all the usual social network activities, without the data privacy issues of the other social media networks.
