# Installing Sentlive on Your Devices

Sentlive is a web app that you can install on your mobile device so that it has its own icon on your Home Screen and opens much like a conventional app. You do not need to download it from an app store.

We recommend installing Sentlive on your phone or tablet for convenient access to your Crew, Loops, Checks, Alerts, Messages and The Buzz.

You do not need to be registered or logged in to install Sentlive. If you have not joined yet, you can register afterwards.

##### Android phones and tablets

The exact wording varies between browsers and devices. These instructions use Google Chrome as an example.

1. Open Chrome on your device and visit [sentlive.com](https://sentlive.com/).
2. Tap the three-dot menu (⋮) near the top of the screen.
3. Look for **Install app** or an option such as **Install and create shortcut**. The wording may vary.
4. Follow the on-screen instructions to install Sentlive.
5. Once installed, look for the Sentlive icon on your Home Screen or in your app list, and tap it to open Sentlive.

If you cannot find an installation option, your browser may offer **Add to Home screen** instead. The available options depend on your browser and device.

##### iPhone and iPad

To install Sentlive on an iPhone or iPad, use Safari.

1. Open Safari and visit [sentlive.com](https://sentlive.com/).
2. Tap the **Share** button.
3. Scroll through the options and tap **Add to Home Screen**. If you cannot see it, look under **Edit Actions** or the additional options.
4. If **Open as Web App** is shown, turn it on.
5. Tap **Add**.

The Sentlive icon will appear on your Home Screen. Tap it to open Sentlive.

**Important for push notifications:** Your iPhone or iPad must be running iOS or iPadOS 16.4 or later, and Sentlive must be installed on the Home Screen as a web app. When Sentlive asks for permission to send notifications, allow them if you want to receive push notifications. You can also manage your notification preferences in Sentlive's settings.

If your device cannot run iOS or iPadOS 16.4 or later, you can still use Sentlive through your browser, but push notifications are not supported. You can still access messages through your Sentlive Inbox.

##### Allowing notifications

Installing Sentlive does not automatically mean that you will receive push notifications. When prompted, allow notifications if you want them. Your device or browser may also display its own permission request.

You can manage which Sentlive notifications you receive in the notification settings on your Profile/Dashboard. Your device's own notification settings may also affect whether notifications appear.

##### Using Sentlive on a computer

Sentlive can also be installed on some desktop and laptop browsers. If your browser offers an **Install** option for Sentlive, follow its instructions. Otherwise, you can continue to use Sentlive directly in your browser.

##### Why install Sentlive?

With Sentlive installed, you can open it directly from your device's Home Screen rather than first opening a browser and entering the website address. It also provides a convenient way to access Sentlive and, where supported and enabled, receive push notifications.
