# Communication

Below is a list of the various methods of communication on SentLive, with a brief overview to help new members or those considering joining to better understand the options available, and a link for more detail when required;

- Email - if you contact us using the form on the site, this will send an email to us; the only emails we will send to you will either be important system information, or registration/login/password related information.
- Push Notifications - these are used to notify you of the following: CALM or Signal Alerts, Checks for you to respond to, Private Messages, and Sentlive Updates; these are all on by default, but you can choose which ones you want to get, or turn them off completely if you wish, although **we do not advise doing so**.
- Internal Notifications - these are generally related to your use of the site, such as when someone invites you to join their Crew or Loop, or someone declines your invite, and other similar events; they are delivered to the [Inbox](https://staging.sentlive.com/membership-login/membership-profile/#inbox) on your Profile page.
- [Private Messages](https://sentlive.com/guide/messages/) - the chat system allows you to send direct messages to other members that you have either a Crew or Loop connection with; you can also choose who can send you chats as well as blocking anyone you don't want to chat to. These messages are also found in your Inbox.
- [The Buzz](https://sentlive.com/guide/social-scene/#thebuzz) - similar to other social media, you can write or share stuff for others to see in a 'buzz', but who can see it is limited by who you are connected to (Crews, Loops, or Hives); any updates from us will also appear as buzzes.
