SentLive began as a casual conversation between two British expats, back in 2015, and slowly grew to become a UK limited company offering a personal safety service via an app available on the Apple and Google platforms that began in 2019; however those platforms were found to be too restrictive, and excluded anyone without a mobile device or using devices without either iOS or Android, as well as limiting our ability to quickly change or offer new features..

We are now offering a new, and slightly altered concept, that is part social media, part personal safety service, which can be used for free, or for an enhanced service we offer monthly and annual subscriptions, or a lifetime plan – please visit this page to find out more!

Regardless of the plan chosen the concept is the same; our goal is for our members to be able to inform their families and friends when they are safe, or not, quickly and easily. The idea is to encourage everyone to be proactive, and get into the habit of regularly informing their contacts when they are safe, rather than only reacting when they are not; this way everyone is free from the worry and stress that is brought on by not knowing either way, whether they are parents, grandparents, or any other family, friends or colleagues. Businesses can use it as a way of checking that their employees are OK, and far flung expats or distant partners can comfort their loved ones with one tap. Along with that, you can meet new people and make new friends by posting your thoughts, and sharing pictures, videos or articles, as well as create groups and other activities much like other social networks.

It all begins with the SentLive button, which you will be able to use once you have registered as a member. With a simple tap or click, you can post on the site that you are Safe; while by holding down the button, you can indicate that you are Not Safe. By inviting your family, friends and colleagues to join you on the site, you can add them as Friends, who can be notified in a variety of ways of your safety status, as well as any social activity, while you can get alerted about theirs. As well as building up a community of Friends, with one of our paid plans you can create Groups, and have no limits on how many safety alerts you send. The paid plans also give you access to three unique features – Scheduled Checks, Request A Check, and No Response Alerts. Read more about these in our Guide.
